Electrolysis Course
Electrolysis is the only permanent method of hair removal available. It involves the insertion of a probe or filament into the hair follicle down to the dermal papilla and emits a burst of treatment energy sufficient enough to destroy the hair follicle. The hair is then removed with tweezers. There are three modalities of electrolysis based on the type of electrical current used, these include diathermy (high frequency), galvanic and blend. Certification Criteria
Once you have completed your Electrolysis Course practical training day with us, there is no additional work to be completed. To successfully complete this course, we require you to undertake one full day, combining both theory and practical at the UK School of Skin Excellence. Upon satisfactory completion you will receive an accredited certificate to obtain your insurance, the right to use our UK School of Skin Excellence recognised seal of approval and listed on our official UK School of Skin Excellence register. Our courses are accredited with The CPD Group. This not only demonstrates your commitment to the training, but also allows you to obtain Public Liability insurance so you can start offering treatments to paying clients. Course Duration
10am – 4pm We ask students to arrive at 9.45am to ensure a prompt start. You will learn the theory of the treatment firstly, and spend the majority of the day practising your practical skills, with a short break for lunch.
Dress Code
Students are required to conform to industry standards, we require tunics to be worn, along with flat comfortable shoes and hair tied back.
